CollabPlane: the software we built for this work
We are consultants who write software, because the same problems kept arriving and the tools to solve them did not exist. Each CollabPlane product came out of an engagement. We use all three ourselves, and your team can too.
CollabPlane Workbench
SIP and call troubleshooting
Where it came from
Every voice engineer has spent a night reading a raw trace line by line, looking for the one message that differs between a call that worked and a call that did not. We built Workbench to make that comparison in seconds.
What it does
- Turns gateway debugs, logs and packet captures into call ladders and marks the failure
- Puts a working call beside a failing one and highlights the fields that differ
- Follows one call across the call manager, the session border controller and the cloud platform
- Builds and tests gateway rules, and pushes them with a saved rollback
How it helps on an engagement
On a troubleshooting engagement we use Workbench to produce the evidence a carrier or vendor needs. Your team can license it and keep working the same way after we leave.
CollabPlane Vector
Phone system migration to cloud calling
Where it came from
Migrations fail on what nobody knew was there. After enough projects that began with an incomplete spreadsheet, we built a tool that reads the old system directly and shows what will and will not carry over.
What it does
- Reads Cisco Unified Communications Manager through an on-site collector and produces a full inventory
- Shows what maps to the target, what needs a decision, and what will not carry over
- Provisions Webex Calling, Zoom Phone or Webex Calling Dedicated Instance in groups
- Verifies each group and records every change so it can be rolled back
How it helps on an engagement
On a migration engagement Vector does the inventory and the provisioning, and our engineers handle the design decisions, the carrier and the cutover.
CollabPlane Studio
Call flow design and configuration
Where it came from
A call flow that lives in someone's head gets built three times. We built Studio so a flow can be drawn, checked for dead ends, and turned into configuration for the platforms that carry it.
What it does
- Lays out entry points, announcements, decisions and destinations on a canvas
- Checks a flow for errors and steps through each path before anything is published
- Generates implementation packages for the call manager, gateways, session border controllers and cloud calling platforms in the path
How it helps on an engagement
On a design engagement we use Studio to agree the call flow with the business before any device is touched.
Three ways to use them
- We use them for you
- On a consulting engagement our engineers bring the tools. You get the findings, the evidence and the result.
- Your team uses them
- Each product is a hosted service, sold by itself. CollabPlane Workbench has a 14-day trial, arranged through CollabPlane sales.
- Both, with training
- We run the first project alongside your engineers and train them on the tools, so the next project is theirs.
Tell us what is going wrong, or what has to go right.
Describe the environment and the problem or the project. An engineer will read it and reply.
