Engineers first, since 2006

Skydome Consulting provides IT consulting and training. We were founded in 2006 and have worked in voice, collaboration, networking and security ever since.

Why we work the way we do

Early on we noticed that the hardest problems were never inside one product. They sat between products, and between the teams responsible for them. A voice engineer would prove the phone system was healthy. A network engineer would prove the network was healthy. The calls still failed.

So we built a practice that covers the whole path: the network, the security in front of it, the collaboration tools on top, and the people who operate all three. We take integration and troubleshooting projects from start to finish, and we plan them to disturb as little as possible of how an organization already works.

We also teach, because a system your team cannot run is not finished. And we write software, because some parts of this work are too important to do by hand.

What we hold to

Evidence before opinion
We show the trace, the capture or the configuration line behind every finding, so your own engineers can check it.
Changes you can undo
Every change has a documented rollback, and we rehearse the ones that matter.
Your team owns the result
We document as we go and hand over with a walkthrough. Our aim is that you do not need us for the same problem twice.
Plain answers
If we are not the right fit, or a project does not need to be done, we say so.

What we offer

Voice and collaboration
Design, troubleshooting and migration for phone systems and the platforms around them.
Network and security
Campus and wide-area networks, firewalls and segmentation, data center and cloud connectivity.
Training
Instructor-led training for engineering teams, built around how the technology is used in real networks.
Project engineering
Experienced engineers for projects your team does not have the people or the time to complete.
CollabPlane software
Hosted tools for call troubleshooting, phone system migration and call flow design.

Tell us what is going wrong, or what has to go right.

Describe the environment and the problem or the project. An engineer will read it and reply.
